6. Different way of live data collection using CIMCO-MDC

As mentioned in chapter no. 4, there are chal-
lenges to capture the live data from the manu-
facturing machines.
In the shop floor, there are many different ma-
chines, with different control systems, PLCs, or
even the hard wired systems. But as a end us-
er, one needs to have one common software to
take care of all the issues. There are some soft-
ware companies who can offer the solution
but are facing a problem to arrive on a com-
mon solution for all types of machines. CIMCO
has found a solution. CIMCO-MDC gives differ-
ent options. Depending upon the machine con-
trol, software can be configured to get the live
data on line. Following are the few ways to
capture live data :

1) Using FOCAS2 interface in Fanuc Systems
2) Using DPRNT Commands
3) Using Data Input device MOXA E-1210
4) Using AUX relays in Haas system
5) Using MTConnect interface
6) Using Profibus interface
7) Using MODBUS TCP interface
8) Using Data Input output device MOXA E-1214
