P. 18
LESSON: 05
HIGHLY ORGANIZED PLANNING:
Organized people are not born organized; they have to cultivate
healthy habits, which then help them to stay organized.
We all have that one person at work or school who is effortlessly
organized. They never seem to miss any deadlines, always finish their
work with time to spare, and always know where they can find what
they are looking for.
Your ability to organize yourself has a major impact on your success,
and it can have a knock-on effort on your team members and co-
workers, too.
The core benefits of being organized and operating in a generally
clutter-free environment are increased their performance. Good
organization can also lead to better thinking.
CORNELLUS said,” Planning without action is futile, action
without planning is fatal.”
Thomas Edison said, “Good fortune is what happens when opportunity
meets with planning.”
I am giving you some essential habits on how to organize your life:
1. WRITE THINGS DOWN:
We all know someone that remembers every birthday and sends
cards for every holiday. It is not magic and they do not use
memorization. Trying to remember things will not help you to stay
organized. A pen and some paper is our way of remembering things
externally, and it is much more permanent.
2. FINANCIAL AWARENESS:
Part of remaining organized includes knowing exactly where the
money is spent. Develop a system for tracking profit and loss and
returns on investment.
3. MAKE SCHEDULES AND DEADLINES:
Organized people do not waste time. They recognize that
keeping things organized goes hand-in-hand with staying
productive. They make and keep schedules for the day and week.
They make deadlines and set goals. Moreover, most importantly,
they and stick to them! Life is short; make sure you are doing what
matters to you most.
