On top of that, we are seeing #1 and top 10 rankings for the lower competition keywords.

               Overall, everything was performing well and consistently going up, so explored more duplicate
               content ideas. In previous tests we saw some effectiveness in utilizing duplicate content for inner
               linking on a website, so we launched the same duplicate content site on multiple subdomains
               with different NAP on each site.

               In the past, we tested websites where you generate thousands of pages, just swapping out
               content geo-references and found a lot of difficulty with Google crawling and indexing the entire
               site. These types of setups suffer because any inner linking can only be utilized once. Meaning, if
               you create a post or generally relevant page, you don't usually link to every geo service page.

               We theorized that by duplicating the site we could repurpose all our blog posts' inner links to go
               to every geolocation page. This could provide more inner linking per location, increasing crawl
               budget, indexing, and rankings. When we looked at Google Search Console, we could see
               Google  counting our inner links per subsite, which is exactly what we were hoping for. You can
