We then posted to the website and blog with duplicate content which was syndicated to our
social media and to the Google My Business Listing, interlinking all of it to increase indexing and
crawling. We also built 100 local citations, but nowhere in the descriptions do we even mention
"social media" which is the service keyword we are going to be looking at.
We updated all listing info throughout February 2020, then let the test run in March.

In Local Viking we saw the GMB pulling "social media" relevance 100% from our website.
Specifically our service page and our blog category. Here is what we saw…
Because of these results, we can confirm the local algorithm (for GMB listings) can leverage your
website content n order to better understand a brand’s relevance.
Let's also talk more about the content itself. Even though it is duplicate content and we haven't
built any links to this site aside from the GMB and citations, the duplicate content has been
indexed and ranked quite well! This content continued to increase in impressions and produce
clicks...
