Next, we wanted to test if we put an emoji in the H1 but did not have a title meta at all in the
source code. We used "Purple Cow" as our modifier to make sure we can pull it in the SERPs.

Test Results: May 29, 2020

When searching for the exact H1, Google pulled the H1 as the title but stripped the emoji (you can
see the empty spot where it is) However, it pulled the title itself for the meta description which
included the emoji. This is most likely due to the exact match of the terms, which Google
assumes is the most pertinent content to display in the description.

However, when we searched the shorter term “purple cow attorney”, Google didn’t show the title
in the Meta description and still stripped the emoji from the title.
