Lesson Title: Introduction to Digital Citizenship


               Lesson Objectives:
               Understand the concept of digital citizenship and its importance in the digital age.

               Identify the key elements and principles of responsible digital citizenship.

               Recognize potential risks and challenges associated with online behavior.
               Develop strategies for promoting positive digital interactions and protecting personal information

               online.
               Lesson Outcomes:

               by the end of this lesson, students should be able to:

               Define digital citizenship and explain its significance.

               Identify and describe the key elements of responsible digital citizenship.

               Demonstrate an understanding of potential risks and challenges in the digital world.
               Apply strategies to promote positive digital interactions and protect personal information online.

               Procedure:

               Step 1: Introduction (10 minutes)

               Greet the students and introduce the topic of digital citizenship.

               Explain the importance of responsible digital behavior in today's interconnected world.
               Share a real-life scenario or news article highlighting the consequences of irresponsible online
               behavior.

               Present the lesson objectives and outcomes.

               Step 2: What is Digital Citizenship? (10 minutes)

               Engage students in a class discussion on their understanding of digital citizenship.

               Define digital citizenship as being a responsible and respectful user of digital technologies.
               Discuss the different aspects of digital citizenship, such as online etiquette, privacy, security, and
               responsible use of technology.

               Step 3: Key Elements of Responsible Digital Citizenship (15 minutes)
               Introduce the key elements of responsible digital citizenship, including: a) Digital Rights and

               Responsibilities b) Digital Literacy c) Digital Etiquette d) Digital Security e) Digital Health and Well-
               being
               Provide examples and explanations for each element.

               Facilitate a class discussion on the importance of these elements in maintaining a positive online
               presence.
