               Step 5: Strategies for Positive Digital Interactions and Personal Information Protection (15 minutes)
               Present practical strategies for promoting positive digital interactions and protecting personal
               information online, including: a) Respecting others' privacy and online boundaries b) Creating strong
               and unique passwords c) Being cautious while sharing personal information online d) Recognizing and
               reporting cyberbullying or inappropriate content e) Verifying information from reliable sources before

               sharing
               Discuss the importance of critical thinking and digital literacy in evaluating online information.

               Step 6: Class Activity: Creating a Digital Citizenship Pledge (15 minutes)

               Divide the students into small groups.
               Instruct each group to brainstorm and create a digital citizenship pledge that reflects the key

               elements and principles discussed in the lesson.
               Each group presents their pledge to the class, and a class-wide pledge is formulated based on the
               best ideas from each group.

               Step 7: Conclusion and Reflection (5 minutes)

               Summarize the key points covered in the lesson.

               Have a brief class discussion reflecting on what students have learned about digital citizenship.
               Emphasize the importance of applying responsible digital citizenship principles in their daily lives.





               Small-scale project topics/ideas for learning digital citizenship
                   1.  Online Safety Pamphlet: Create a pamphlet or brochure that provides practical tips and
                      guidelines for staying safe online. Include information on password security, recognizing and
                      avoiding scams, protecting personal information, and dealing with cyberbullying.
                   2.  Digital Footprint Audit: Conduct a personal digital footprint audit where students analyze
                      their online presence and assess the potential impact of their digital activities on their
                      reputation. Encourage students to make adjustments to their privacy settings, review and
                      remove any inappropriate content, and consider the long-term implications of their online
                      actions.
                   3.  Digital Citizenship Social Media Campaign: Design a social media campaign to raise
                      awareness about responsible digital citizenship. Students can create informative posts,
                      videos, or infographics to share on social media platforms, addressing topics such as online

                      privacy, cyberbullying prevention, or the importance of verifying information.
                   4.  Online Community Guidelines: Collaboratively develop a set of online community guidelines
                      or a code of conduct for a specific online platform or virtual classroom. Students can research
