SCİENCE AND ART CENTER (BİLSEM)
Science and Art Centers; They are independent private education institutions that aim to
expand the awareness of individual characteristics of pre-school, primary school, secondary
school and high school students (painting, music and general mental ability) in a way that
does not disrupt their education in formal education, and to develop their capacities in order
to achieve the highest level of use. Ministry of Education Science and Art Centers Directive,
2016).
In order to reveal the existing potentials of the students who come to BİLSEM from the
grade level determined by the Ministry, certain educational program steps are passed. The
student who comes to the center from three different talent areas starts with the
integration program step, at this step he gets to know the institution, programs, teachers
and other areas.
The training programs implemented in BİLSEMs consist of 5 structures:
1. Compliance Program
The institution, program recognition is a program that includes the recognition of the
teacher and other content in order to ensure the adaptation of the students of general
mental ability, music and visual arts talents newly registered to BİLSEM.
Compliance guests are first introduced to BİLSEM's mission, vision and core values. Meeting
activities are planned in a way that creates a BİLSEM culture in students. It aims to get to
know the student; activities that contribute to their personal, social and psychological
development and improve scientific thinking and aesthetic appearance are carried out.
Activities are planned to promote BİLSEM facilities, laboratories, talent development
workshops and employees.
Students who continue to BİLSEM by recognizing the visual arts and music dimensions
continue their education to develop special abilities in the field they met at the end of the
harmony program. This period is determined by the counselor guidance teacher who will be
responsible for each student.
2. Support training program
It is a training program based on working with all fields/disciplines in the basic skills that
students who are diagnosed with general mental ability who benefit from adaptation
programs should develop. effective decision making, technology literacy, social
responsibility, effective use of resources skills are gained. In the support education program,
project preparation studies can be started with the students individually or as a group.3.
