It is 165 cm tall and weighs 175 kg (measurements that would do
justice to its size, if it were not placed on a rock in the middle of the

sea so as to disappoint many visitors!).

The Little Mermaid had a somewhat turbulent life: for over thirty
years, in fact, she was the victim of havoc and vandalism

(covered in color, beheaded, crippled in her right arm, etc.).

But the beautiful sculpture is still there, the undisputed symbol of
the city and 2003 is the year of his 90th birthday!
