The Eiffel Tower of Paris, a wrought iron tower, is one of the
attractions and symbols of the city of Paris.
It was designed for the 1889 World Exhibition by the engineer
Gustave-Alexandre Eiffel (the same creator of the Statue of
Liberty) who celebrated the centenary of the French Revolution;
the initial idea was to remove it once the exposure in the Field of
Mars was over.
