CHAIRPERSON’S
WELCOME
elcome to the mid-season Management Council update for 2020. It has been an unprecedented year
w at the Golf Club. At our AGM in November, we presented our new Five Year Vision while also
announcing a series of upgrades and improvements under the theme “Phase 1: Stabilisation & Foundation”.
Over the winter months, we were delighted to have completed a broad range of improvements which had been
carefully selected and aimed toward improving the experience of the Members and Guests while using the
Clubhouse and Golf Courses.
We were equally pleased to appoint Truffle Honey Golf Limited to their new position as the Golf Club’s catering
partner. After a thorough and competitive process, Mike Hayes and Shane Edwards, both members of the Golf
Club were the standout candidates. On behalf of everyone at the Golf Club, I wish them and their team the very
best of luck.
Unfortunately, as we are all too aware, an untimely and wholly unexpected crisis that is the global pandemic
Covid-19 continues to be an unprecedented event. It has negatively impacted businesses across the world
including our own Golf Club. As a result, we recently published our Covid 19 Emergency Response Plan to
outline how the pandemic has affected our Golf Club.
Despite the dramatic impact, the Management Council and Synergy Golf remain optimistic that we can
successfully navigate this time of uncertainty and the challenges it has brought.
We would like to thank all the team for their significant efforts of late. We commend everyone on the excellent
condition of the golf courses and extend our thanks to the Golf, Admin and Marketing teams, who continued
to keep the business of the Golf Club ticking over throughout the lockdown and now through the various
phases of re-opening. To our management partners Synergy Golf, Garrett, Andy, Ronan and all their team, we
thank you for your guidance, professionalism, support and leadership at this most unprecedented time.
It is a reality that Covid-19 has had a life changing impact for all of us, there are tough roads ahead but we
remain united, positive and steadfast in our pursuit to navigate the Golf Club safely through this crisis and into
a better and stronger future.
Yours in golf,
Adrian Brennan
