GOLF CLUB NAME - VENUE AUDIT
MARKETING OVERVIEW
This section of the venue audit will mainly focus on the website as they are your most frequented shop
window. As digital marketing is growing, your website must be selling and generating leads. Following the
in-depth review of the website, we will touch on the other element’s worth noting at this stage, including
social media, the marketing budget and digital marketing.
WEBSITE - FINDINGS
There are two websites for Tulfarris Hotel & Golf Resort – A) The ‘hotel’ website and B) The ‘golf club’
website. We feel that this is a fundamental flaw as it is difficult to keep two separate websites updated, and
it can cause confusion to potential customers – examples of this are outlined below.
Q. Is the company website design up to date and relevant? Does it represent the company today?
A. Both websites appear to be fully responsive. The design of the ‘golf club’ website is definitely in need
of upgrading. The design of the ‘hotel’ website is okay, but there are much better designs available and a
resort of this stature (and with the recent investments), should have a 5-star website.
Q. Is the website content up to date?
A. The content on the ‘hotel’ website appears to be fully up to date. There are a few pieces of content within
the golf section that are not up to date. There is a lot of old content on the ‘golf club’ website, which gives
the impression that the website has not been updated in a very long time. This can cause uncertainty
among potential customers.
There are also several areas on the ‘golf club’ website that should not be visible to visitors. This information
should only be visible to members as they don’t add to the ultimate goal of generating revenue.
