upright habit, growing 10-12 feet
tall and 4-6 feet wide. The deep
crimson flowers are single petal
to semi double, expanding 2.5-3
inches wide with bright yellow gold
boss, blooming in mid-autumn.
• ‘Bonanza’ is an upright dark
evergreen that grows up to 6 feet
tall and can spread 4-8 feet wide. In
early autumn ‘Bonanza’ is filled with
bright red, fluted and waved petals
that surround lots of tiny petals,
called petaloids, and gold stamens.

blooming Camellia that blooms
in mid to late autumn with 2.5-3
inches large, single petaled fuchsia
pink petals that surround bright
golden yellow boss in the center.
The plants can grow 6-7 feet tall
Camellia Our Linda flower and 5 feet wide and are very cold
tolerant.
• ‘Yuletide’ flowers are a vibrant red
single petal flower that expands
to 2.5-3 inches wide, blooming
late fall into winter. The plants are
compact with small dark green
glossy leaves growing 8-10 feet tall

predicted.
Fall blooming camellias, especially the
cold-hardy varieties in Dr. Ackerman’s
‘Winter’ series, bring enduring beauty
and resilience to gardens, thriving
in USDA zones 6-9. Varieties in the
‘Winter’ series have chilly names
that reflect their ability to survive the
colder temperatures.
• ‘Winter Star’ has fuchsia pink single
petals and a golden center. It
blooms mid to late autumn and
Autumn Sentinel camellia grows 6-7 feet tall and 5 feet wide.
