Governance, Human Rights, and Institutional Capacity Analysis

On 29 September 2020, a virtual, Common Country Assessment (CCA) stakeholder consultation was held under the thematic
group: Governance, Human Rights, and Institutional Capacity. The objective of the stakeholder consultation was to capture stakeholders’
inputs into the initial governance diagnostic paper produced through desk review. The workshop was chaired by the Solicitor General
and Legal Secretary, Mr. Cherno Marenah, and moderated by Ms. Aissata De, UNDP Resident Representative.
The UN CCA remains the foundation for the development of the UN Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework
(UNSDCF) between the UN system and the government and people of The Gambia, following the end of the United Nations Development
Assistance Framework (UNDAF) in 2021.The UN development reform, effective 1 January 2019, identifies the UNSDCF as the most
