In November during the Parent Teacher Conference at Durant Touri Mott School,sorors played games and
read stories to the children. Gamma Delta donated 1800 books to their school library. In December
Gamma Delta donated over 300 pair of socks and tights to Carriage Town Ministries. These were received
with open arms. Sorors donated the socks.

During Teacher Appreciation Week in the month of May or during the fall semester, Gamma Delta sorors
will visit one Flint Public Schools to celebrate their staff. We will provide a light lunch and present them
with gift bags and water bottles. The gift bags will contain personal school supplies, snacks and drinks. It
will also contain a special card from the National Sorority of Phi Delta Kappa, Inc. Gamma Delta Chapter.
The sorors will also talk about and give information on Human Trafficking, a vital issue that affect today's
students. This lunch will give teachers a break and show our thanks for all they do.

August we had a great planning session at our leadership retreat. We had a break out session where
sorors partnered up to discuss how to implement our YES programs. We also had an awesome
presentation by one of our sorors, Margarite Harris on Cultural Relevancy-Cultivating Our Children. It was
great to see and experience sorors sharing their ideas. We ended our retreat with a delicious meal.

Our Public Relations committee publishes a quarterly newsletter for our sorority. They also send articles
to local news outlets for publication of events that Gamma Delta are involved in.
