          DESCRIPTION OF THE ACTIVITY - The Literacy Committee is collecting and donating books of all grade
          levels and reading abilities to West Preparatory Academy, Cleveland Ohio. The books are adorned with
          labels that read “A gift from the National Sorority of Phi Delta Kappa, Inc.”.
          Read Across American pledge sheets have been shared with the chapter.  Sorors voiced there concerns on
          the interpretations of  FERPA,  the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) (20 U.S.C. § 1232g;
          34 CFR Part 99).  The Chapter agreed to ask their family members and friends to sign the pledge sheets.
          Or the Sorors would signed their names and the total number of students who pledged to read on their

          DESCRIPTION OF THE ACTIVITY:   Please type below.
          The African-American History Commitee had a program at West Preparatory Academy in honor of Black
          History Month.  The theme was celebrating African-Dance and Scholarship.  The program consisted of a
          welcome from the principal, and an introduction of the "Barefeet Dance Tribe", who peformed an African
          dance for the students.  A presentation of gifts was presented to three students for achievement in the
          categorres of best African project, citizenship, and the recipient of the Principals Award.  In addition,

          books were donated to the school's library on behalf of both University Woman Organization and the
          National Sorority of Phi Delta Kappa, Inc., Gamma Rho Chapter

          The Chapter recieved a presentation from the Computer Technology commitee on the newly developed
          National Sorority of Phi Delta Kappa, Inc., Gamma Rho Chapter Web page.  The link was shared, viewed
          and a discussion on the maintenence and upkeep took place.
