We have several sorors who are active in MARSP (Michigan Association of Retired School Personnel), one soror who is a
member of Genesee Lifelong Education Association, and one that is a member of Saginaw Association of Retired School
Personnel. All these organizations provide information regarding current issues and trends that affect retirees. We have five
retired sorors who have gone back into the workplace part time. Three of these are Student Success Technicians, and one a
Title One Tutor (these sorors work with K-5 students to improve Literacy) and one as a school Counselor. We also have a
soror who volunteers at Holmes School as a tutor and office assistant. She also volunteers at Genesee County Community
Action Resource Department, where she helps raise funds for the needy and distribute blankets to the homeless. Our retired
sorors are very active in their churches, schools and communities.
