LIBRARY STAFF DEVELOPMENT PLAN

               Professional development of staff members is priority of the university, Licensed       librarians and staff
            are encouraged
            To pursue both formal and non- formal education through enrolment in the graduate school for masters or
            doctorate, attendance to seminars, workshops trainings, for a , or conferences, as well as membership in
            professional associations. Training and development of staff are based on the following:
          a.  The library’s needs and priorities for the development of specific expertise to meet future  growth of
              services.
          b.  Staff individual needs to develop specific competencies in their position;
          c.  The library’s role in support to national and international library activities, and;
          d.  The library’s need for staff to meet minimum competencies in the use of technology.
