Development of Electronic System for
Duty Drawback under Section 29

PROJECT BACKGROUND
Initially, the duty drawback (under section 29) process and document submission SPECIAL e
at different stages must be done at Duty Drawback Division. In order to comply
with measures to boost efficiency of export promotion, work process and ICT system
“Thailand 4.0” policy, which focuses on innovation-driven economy, and to increase DRAW
development strategy, and trade facilitation, in alignment with the Government’s

EXPECTED PROJECT OUTCOMES

1. Facilitate operators with electronic document submission, available 24/7, not limited to official hours
and faster than the traditional channel.

2. Reduce individual discretion and increase accuracy of customs officers when considering or
granting approval by providing access to database system for verification and reducing risks for drawback
duplication, enhancing work performance.

3. Save cost of document preparation required in the traditional operation (paper-based) and travel expenses
of import/export operator if they have to come in person to submit documents.
4. Narrow gaps for corruptions by reducing contact between operators and customs officers, leading
to less chances for illegal demand of benefits.
