Matching always needs self‐(er)knowledge and knowledge of human
of their behavior. You will know which communication style suits
your conversation partner, which needs he has in contact with
others and how you can best respond to them. And you will learn
how to motivate him. You will also recognize how you should behave
so that you get along well with a person - a job applicant, an
employee, a customer and so on - and make a good impression on
him. And you will learn how to establish a good human contact, on
which you can build professional, business and, moreover, private
relationships.
I would like to give you a few examples of how the ability to
match is beneficial to you because of better self-knowledge and
knowledge of human nature:
• Optimal employee selection: As a manager or person- nal, you
better assess the strengths of your employees and make
optimal use of them. With the help of a job profile, you
specifically select the applicants who have the skills and
behavioral patterns that are needed in this position. You will
quickly know which candidates are the best fit for you - and
which are not. Your work and your company will benefit from
this - and so will you yourself, because you build up the
reputation of bringing together and binding together precisely
those people who fit together and can solve tasks in the best
possible way.
• Effective teams: The same applies to team building. You put
together teams in which the people fit together, complement
each other in their skills, behavior and personality structure
and can therefore support each other.
• Better customer service: Do you have customer contact - or
are even working in sales - your matching competence and
your knowledge of yourself and people will help you,
