MOTIVATING EMPLOYEES AND TEAMS TO ACHIEVE . . .

team spirit, or pairing a visionary with an analytical thinker for tasks
               where their approaches could clash.

Sometimes the diversity within a balanced team can slow down de-
cision-making compared to a more homogeneous group. However

the benefit of this diversity is that it brings multiple perspectives to
the table, leading to more thorough and well-considered decisions.
It also minimizes the likelihood of oversight and errors.

Furthermore, balanced teams approach problem-solving from a
multidimensional perspective, encompassing these four aspects:

                   1. Intuition: Generating ideas to craft innovative solutions.

                   2. Perception: Collecting facts and scrutinizing the details of

                       the problem.

                   3. Thinking: Analyzing the problem objectively to under-

stand the cause and effect of each potential solution.

                   4. Feeling: Considering the emotional impact of possible

                       solutions on those involved.

               THINK ABOUT IT!

The ultimate task in team management is to leverage personal as-

sessments to fine-tune your team’s composition. Evaluate your team
               in the following areas:

                   • Assessment criteria: Revisit the criteria that influenced the
formation of your current team. What skills, experiences,
and behaviors were you looking for?
