ILLINOIS STATE CAPITAL HOUSE + SENATE CHAMBERS
The House and Senate Chambers at the Illinois State Capitol project, built for construction. The project also features the installation of new theater seating,
the Illinois Capital Development Board, included the renovation of 19,458 square member desks, speaker podiums, and indirect lighting, replacement of the
foot legislative chambers located in Springfield, Illinois. The facility contains the heating ventilation and air conditioning systems in both houses, and removal of
State of Illinois’ House and Senate Chambers and functions as an assembly room asbestos. This project received the 2007 Director’s Award for Pride in Partnership,
for the State’s legislative branch. The legislative chambers were constructed of the State of Illinois, the 2008 Architect Woodwork Institute (AWI) Standard of
new millwork, metal handrails, wood paneling, plaster ceilings, painting, carpet, Excellence Award for Public Facility Project, and the 2008 American Institute of
marble columns, and circular art glass. A new lay light assembly with an attic- Architects (AIA) Honor Award for Interior Architecture.
