CORE Construction
19TH JUDICIAL DISTRICT COURTHOUSE
The 19th Judicial District Courthouse project, built for the State of Louisiana 19th
Judicial District Court, included the new construction of a 350,000 square foot
municipal judicial complex located in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The facility houses
27 civil and family courtrooms, judge’s chambers, administrative staff and clerk of
court offices, jury room, drug lab, and detention and holding cells. The 11-story
municipal judicial complex was constructed with a structural steel frame and
concrete slab on metal deck floors. The project also features an exterior glass
curtain wall, architectural precast concrete, and metal frame windows. Due to
CORE’s effective implementation of architectural design by Post Architects, the
19th Judicial District Courthouse project creates a secure environment for the
circulation of judicial officers, citizens, and detainees in the building by enabling
the dignified administration of justice in the Parish of East Baton Rouge.
