DALLAS SOUTH CENTRAL POLICE SUBSTATION
The Dallas South Central Police Substation project, built for the City of Dallas, included the new
construction of a single-story 38,000 square foot municipal law enforcement station located in
Dallas, Texas. The facility supports the South Central Division of the Dallas Police Department.
The law enforcement station was constructed of a structural steel frame and concrete masonry
unit block walls, brick veneer, and limestone panel exterior. The project also features the
use of recycled wood, metal, concrete, and paper materials throughout the process for the
construction of administrative offices, detention cells, records, storage, restrooms, vehicle
service bays, and fueling areas for the Division. Additionally, utilities and street work were
upgraded to meet the law enforcement and safety needs of the community. The project
received LEED Gold Certification by the U.S. Green Building Council for green construction
practices and building features. Due to CORE’s extensive planning, the Dallas South Central
Police Substation project now provides an environment for facilitating community involvement
with law enforcement in the south-central region of the city.
