Field Training Overview and Introduction



               Orientation/Phase 1

               2 weeks. The recruit should complete all their video training and begin reviewing policies during this
               time.

               Additionally, hand them all the necessary forms for their job. This includes statement forms, warning
               notices, a Miranda Card, and many others.

               Introduce them to city personnel and city building locations building locations. Also begin teaching them
               the streets, ordinances, and help them get familiarized with our town website and police links.
               Additional requirements are listed below:

               Discuss radio procedures

               Lidar & Radar certification

               Firearms qualification to include less lethal shotgun qualification

               Begin field work at 25%/75%
               Phase 2

               Field Work at 50%/50%

               Arrests

               Investigations

               Patrol tactics
               Phase 3

               Recruit manages shift on their own and doing 75% of the work while the FTO does 25%

               Watch court videos

               Crime Scene Stuff

               Phase 4 -Ghost

               All calls and incidents are handled on their own, only assist them only when you have to.
