There was a time when plants were thought of as "simple".
Then people started looking at them through microscopes, and more
powerful instruments. Theye were amazed at the complexity.
There is no such thing as "simple" in the living world!

Below is a very simple diagram of a section of just one cell.
The scientific names have been dropped, but what each part does
is given in simple terms.
