A female green turtle drags herself across the sand.
She has arrived at Ascension Island to lay her eggs after swimming
some 1250 miles (2000km).
Her body is so heavy - she is much better off in the water.
Slowly she makes her way up the sand, then she awkwardly digs a
hole with her flippers, turns, laysd her eggs, then covers the eggs.
She has already swum for eight weeks, so she is very tired, but she
has to finish laying and leave before daybreak.
How does she know she must lay her eggs above the tide mark?
How do the baby turtles know how to return to the very same place
several years later?
Why don't they lay their eggs somewhere else? - somewhere easier
to get to?
Where do these turtles get such skill at navigating the oceans, and
such amazing accuracy at returning to the exact same beach?
lt
God who designed these turtles, gave them the
skills to do what they do.
