The ichneumon wasp is tall and slender and built like an alien invader!
When the female is ready to lay her eggs, she walks along decaying
wood and senses what lies beneath.
When she locates a grug, deep in the wood, she begins to poke her
egg-laying tube through the wood until she finds the grub.
After about 20 minutes work, she lays an egg in the grub and flies
away to find another one.
Consider, for a moment, the incredible elegance of her machinery -
the drill, the hooked feet, the sensing skills, the power behind her drill,
and the accuracy. Could a human, unaided, locate a grub in a tree
this efficiently? No way!
How does the ichneumon wasp
know it has to lay eggs in hidden
grubs?
HGw does it know its eggs must be
laid this way?
Where did it get its skills from?
Incredibly long It never learned them from any
egg-laying other wasp?
tube
God, who created this wasp,
gave it the skills and the wisdom.
