Amazing Creations 5
Richard Gunther
Ask a human to design a shape that rolls in a circle
when bumped, and after some trial and error and a
lot of intelligent thinking, the human will probably
come up with an egg-shape with a tapered end.
This is the shape of the guillemot's egg.
How did the bird come up with such a design?
It didn't - God designed the bird and the egg.
The guillemot lays its egg on a very small, bare rock ledge.
Any other egg would roll off if it was bumped, or perhaps the wind
blew, but not these eggs.
They roll in a tight circle, centred on the narrow end of the oval.
How does the guillemot know to lay its eggs on precarious ledges?
It doesn't know. It does this because it already has built-in wisdom,
given to it by its Creator. *
The evolution view cannot work
here, because even if a
guillemot did accidentally
manage to get an egg the
right shape, in the right place,
its young would also have
to do the same thing, but
they are never taught how.
