In southern Chile there is a frog which lives
on the floor of the forest.
When this creature, called Darwin's frog,
lays its eggs, there is no
water or pond available, so the eggs are
deposited on the ground.
The male Darwin's frog gulps them into
his vocal sac, and keeps
them there until they hatch.
He still manages to eat food, but he
doesn't swallow his young.
When the tadpoles in his mouth become little frogs he spits them out.
How does this frog know what to do with his young?
How does he know the eggs and tadpoles need a moist place to live?
God who made the frog gives him the wisdom.
Interestingly, Charles Darwin, after*whom the frog is named, believed
that all living things were gradually evolving into other living things,
yet Darwin's frog coninues to produce nothing but copies of itself.
Apart from variations within a species, no evolution from one
species to another has ever been seen, and no evidence to support
Darwin's theory has ever been found.
