Stokes remains in police custody at Milwaukee County Jail on a $500,000 bond. The
Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office charged him with five counts of First
Degree Intentional Homicide, Use of Dangerous Weapon, and one count of Possession
of a Firearm by a Felon. If Stokes is found guilty, he could face up to five life
sentences plus 35 years in prison.
“I want the family to know that the victims in this situation matter. Their lives matter
and although there is no way to bring relief to anyone impacted by this tragedy I hope
they continue to lean on each other to heal,” said Sgt. Mejia.
Chief Alfonso Morales, along with the entire MPD family, continues to send his
prayers to those impacted by this tragic event.
