6.18.1 Insurance of Work
Is a guarantee provided by a third party as a protection to clients and contractors for a
construction project. Contractor must be insured for loss and damages caused by fire,
thunderbolt, explosion, storm, typhoon, flood, landslide and others. The insurance must
be carried out with the approved insurance company in the name of the Government and
the Contractor.Total that need insure is total contract price and add any amount stated in
the appendix to conditions of contract.
The insurance must cover the entire period of completion. In the event that the
contractor does not renew the expired insurance, the superintendent officer shall renew
the insurance and pay all premiums. The scope covered in this insurance generally
includes:
The work was done
Building materials supplied to the construction site or adjacent to the site.
Payment of consultation fees
The cost of cleaning debris from a disaster
The risks of this work is covered for insurance against loss or damage is attributable to
the following items:
Fire
Explosion
Storm, lightning, hurricanes and floods
Slopes
Water tanks, pipes burst or overflow
Aircraft and other aerial devices or articles that fall from the aircraft
Riots and civil unres
Among these risks are not covered by insurance work including all losses and damages
arising from:
War or similar
Any willful act or willful negligence of the insured or his representative
Nuclear reaction, nuclear radiation or radioactive contamination
