6.18.2 Public Liability Insurance

Guarantees is provided by a third party for the protection of clients and contractors in
injury / death of the public or damage to public property located on the construction site
or surrounding.

Contractor must provide liabilities insurance which occurred beside 'Common
Law' for injury person, death of someone or injury or property damage. Insurance stated
need to be implemented with the parties insurance company that approved behalf with

Government and contractor. The insurance shall cover the entire period of completion
including the 3 month and 14 day defect liability.

Protected public among others :
 Members of the public are permitted to enter the construction site as
supplier of building materials, hawkers construction site canteen, students

and certain people who come to visit and others.
 People in the past pass near the construction site as they used to use

vehicles or walk the streets next to construction projects.
 All consultants, S.O and their representatives involved in administrator and
managing the project.

While the property covered by this insurance covers such as:
 Adjacent buildings such as homes, offices and others.

 Any structure that is adjacent to the site such as retaining walls, fences and
the like.
 Property belonging to members of the public who placed beside or near to

the site such as motorcycles and cars.
 The property belongs to a person who is allowed or invited to the site such

as a supplier's vehicle, hawker, visitor and others.
 Property belonging to the S.O, consultants and representatives

respectively.
This insurance covered, the compensation payable covers all costs of injury, all costs of
damage, injury and death including cost of claims and payment lawyer according to

limits-limits which determined and agreed.
Things that are not covered include:
 Injury to contractor employees
