REFORMATION OF THE MIND BY THE SPIRIT AND THE WORD

WE AFFIRM BY OUR ACTIONS

Whether for good or evil, we affirm with our
actions. To bring forth the right kind of fruit, we must
fill our hearts with the right stuff. We must
deliberately and consistently affirm the Truth. We
cannot expect ever to get a harvest of the good things
of God in our lives without filling our hearts, minds,
and actions with good. We play a substantial part in
this. We must cooperate with the Holy Spirit for
transformation.
We should present our lives to God. We need to
commit our bodies to Him for His use in this life. We
must stop following the culture around us. We need
to imitate God, not the culture. We must open our
lives to the work of the Holy Spirit and fill our hearts,
minds, and mouths with His Word. We must seek
God for, and not fall short of, a total inward
transformation. We must commit ourselves fully to
these things if we want to be empowered to walk in
His perfect will and live the extraordinary life He has
chosen for us. This transformation will produce the
correct kind of speech and the right type of action.
Our fruitful lives will testify that we are living
connected to the Vine. “Be transformed by the
renewing our your mind!”
“ 33 “Either make the tree good and its fruit good, or
else make the tree corrupt and its fruit corrupt. For the
tree is known by its fruit. 34 O generation of vipers,
how can you, being evil, speak good things? For out of
the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. 35 A
good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings
forth good things. And an evil man out of the evil
treasure brings forth evil things. 36 But I say to you
that for every idle word that men speak, they will give
an account on the Day of Judgment. 37 For by your
words you will be justified, and by your words you
will be condemned.” Matthew 12:33-37
