REFORMATION OF THE MIND BY THE SPIRIT AND THE WORD
them. But the word preached did not benefit them,
because it was not mixed with faith in those who
heard it.” Hebrews 4:2
DAY THIRTY-SEVEN:
Paul to Titus, "This is a faithful saying, and these
things I want you constantly to affirm,…”
DO IT
Pau set an example for the believers to whom he
ministered. He trained taught them the Word in the
power of the Spirit. He didn’t only teach them. He
trained them. Mere instruction doesn’t complete the
job. We must learn to do what we have learned.
That’s the difference between teaching and training.
Teaching instructs. Training demonstrates and
guides the student through hands-on application.
The Bible is a hands-on life manual. It is not meant
to only be read. It is intended to be put into practice
in daily life.
Mere instruction of the Word produces religious
people. Trained saints put the Word into action. Paul
spoke clearly to believers about following through on
doing what they had learned and saw demonstrated.
We should seek the transformation of which Paul
declared. We should realign our lives, body, soul, and
spirit to the Truth. We should affirm the Word with
our words constantly. But we must also prove the
Truth in our actions.
When we do it, we will see that it is confirmed in
our life too. God sees to that. And, oh, what peace
and satisfaction we shall know!
“Do those things which you have both learned and
received, and heard and seen in me, and the God of
peace will be with you.” Philippians 4:9
