Dear Mr King
I refer you to your le?er dated 24 June 2019 to Mr Darren Page in which you a?ach Mr
Page’s le?er dated 13 June 2019. Page 5 of Mr Page’s le?er shows a revised plan of the
proposed estate.
The original plan showed part of the proposed estate encroaching into the 15 metre buffer
zone. MSDC advised the architect to recTfy this. A revised draU showed the architect had
resolved this issue apart from a secTon of a parking space next to flats 51-54 that sTll
encroached into the buffer zone. MSDC again advised the architect to recTfy this. This latest
plan, a?ached to Mr Page’s le?er, shows that the parking space now ‘appears’ to be clear of
the buffer zone. However, a close inspecTon of the plan shows the inside line defining the
buffer zone has been redrawn in the area of the parking spaces next to flats 51-54 so that it
does not intrude into the parking space. A careful measurement of the buffer zone at this
point shows it to be less than 15 metres - approximately 13 metres.
A?ached is a copy of the revised plan and I would suggest the Design Review Panel review
this anomaly, and that Mr Page be asked to explain how this could have happened .
Yours sincerely
John Finney
