Transportation Account
The Transportation Account allows you to pay for qualiied work-related

transportation and/or parking expenses with pre-tax dollars.

Examples of transportation eligible expenses include the following.


Parking
X Parking on or near company premises
X Parking on or near the location employees commute to work using
mass transit, commuter highway vehicles, or carpools

X Does not include parking near employee’s home

Commuter Highway Vehicle
X Highway vehicle that seats at least 6 adults (not including the
driver)

X 80 percent of the vehicle’s mileage must be for transporting
employees between their homes and workplace

X Employees must occupy at least one-half of the vehicle’s seats (not including
the driver)
Transit Passes

X Purchase passes or vouchers on a tax-free basis to cover the cost of traveling to
and from work
X Subway, train and bus passes are eligible

X Vanpool costs are also eligible if the van seats at least six adults not including
the driver

X Select your transit system or parking vendor
X Place your order

X Receive your passes/vouchers, etc, in the mail

Aetna will send F+W information about your selections and instruct us on how to
deduct the proper amounts from your paycheck pre-tax.
