The four quadrants also form an abstract
spiral climbing upwards, reflecting our
aspirations to move upwards and onward
towards a higher level of support to the RSN.
One red upward pointing arrow supported
within the quadrants symbolises our
combined ideal and synergy through
teamwork. The arrow is also an abstract
navigational symbol indicating ‘N’ and serves
as tie to our naval heritage.
The laurel of excellence signifies our pursuit
of service and support excellence in executing
the NALCOM mission.
The motto "PREPARED AND READY"
emphasizes the commitment to the RSN
mission success and steer our people to be
prepared and ready at all times, to support the
mission of the RSN, in fair weather or foul
weather.
The Regimental Colours was presented to
NALCOM by the President of the Republic of
Singapore, Mr Ong Teng Cheong on SAF Day
Parade on 1 July 1994 at Khatib Camp.
The navy-blue field symbolises the unit as an
integral part of the Republic of Singapore
Navy. The National coat of Arms at the top of
the unit logo symbolises the support to RSN
to fulfil her mission in defence of Singapore.
The unit's logo shows the various capabilities
of the unit.
The traditional Divers’ hard hat framed by the
national symbol of the lion and tiger, shows
that NDU is the only unit in the SAF that
specialises in diving.
The lion, tiger and hard hat in front of the
buoyant sea mine with three horns show that
NDU is always able to overcome and be ahead
of the threat.
The three waves at the bottom of the logo
represent the water environment that the
divers operate in. The waves are in Red, Navy
Blue and Sky Blue represent NDU's ability to
operate on land, at sea and from the sky. They
are also indicative of the support that NDU
provides to the Army, Navy and the Airforce
of the SAF.
The Motto "Nothing Stands In Our Way" was
adopted in 1995. It brings out the "Can Do"
