       To mark the con clu sion of Read ing Month 2025, the Min ist r y of Cul ture (MO C) con clud e d the Nat iona l Read ing Month 2025 w ith the launch of the Read ing
       Amb as s ad  ors Ini t i at  ive, in col lab  or a t ion w ith the Supreme Coun cil for Moth er ho o d and Child ho o d, and the Fe d  era l Youth Author it y.




















       This ini t i at  ive aims to cul t iv ate a cul ture of read ing by id ent i f y ing influ en t ia l fig  ure s as ment ors and lit er acy advo c ate s.
       Through their ef forts, MO  C se eks to emp ower com munit  ie s, encour ag ing a ll seg  ments of so ci et y to integ  rate read ing into their d aily live s.
       The inaug  ura l e di t ion of the ini t i at  ive fea ture s Read ing Amb as s ad  ors care fully sele c te d across four main cat egor ie s: w riters and pion e ers, youth, volun te ers, and
       chil dren.
       The se amb as s ad  ors w ill play a cru cia l role in fos ter ing read ing habits w ithin the com munit y by launch ing and imple ment  ing imp ac ful ini t i at  ive s across vari ous
       chan nels.
       Ad di t ion a lly, they w ill act  ively pro mote b e st prac t ice s and share suc ce ss stor ie s that inspire a cul ture of habitua l read ing.
       To fur ther emb e d read ing as a d aily prac t ice, the amb as s ad  ors w ill pro p ose innov at  ive proje cts and t ake an act  ive role in their imple ment  a t ion at Mo c-af fil i ate d
       lib rar ie s and cent re s.
       The Supreme Coun cil for Moth er ho o d and Child ho o d’s p ar t i cip  a t ion in this ini t i at  ive fol lows its announce ment of Emir at i Chil dren’s Day 2025 theme “ The Right
       to Id en t it y and Nat iona l Cul ture.”
       The theme refle cts the imp ort  ance of inst illing the prin ciple s of nat iona l id en t it y among chil dren and youth, enhan cing their abil it y to engage w ith, con t rib ute
       to, and ex pre ss their cul tura l her it  age, while b ol ster ing their pro fi ciency in the Arabic lan g uage, which is a corner stone of their id en t it y.
       By advan cing this theme, the Coun cil a lso se eks to encour age Arabic read ing, st reng th en ing chil dren’s con ne c t ion to their nat  ive lan g uage while fos ter ing lo ca l
       cul tura l and know le dge exchange across dif  fer ent g roups of so ci et y.
       This ef fort a lso sup p orts the pre  ser  va t ion of the UAE’S key cul tura l arte f acts like p o et r y, pro verbs, w is d om, and t ra di t iona l arts, a lig n ing closely w ith the vis ion
       and go a ls of the Read ing Amb as s ad  ors Ini t i at  ive.

       Through this ini t i at  ive, the Min ist r y aims to cul t iv ate role mo d  els who lead by ex ample, cel eb rate the ongo ing ef forts of influ en t ia l fig  ure s d e d ic ate d to pro mot -
       ing read ing, and show case the amb as s ad  ors’ suc ce ss stor ie s and b e st prac t ice s in integ  rat  ing read ing ever y d ay life.
       The min ist r y, in col lab  or a t ion w ith the Supreme Coun cil for Moth er ho o d and Child ho o d and the Fe d  era l Youth Author it y, w ill provid e full sup p ort to the Read ing
       Amb as s ad  ors and high light their ef forts across vari ous me dia chan nels.
       In ad di t ion, the min ist r y w ill d e s ig  nate cre at  ive areas w ithin its Cul tura l Cent re s and lib rar ie s, of fer ing amb as s ad  ors a pla form to pre sent their proje cts and share
       their ex p er i ence s in fos ter ing a cul ture of read ing.
       An annua l forum w ill a lso b e held at the end of each year to show case the achieve ments of the Read ing Amb as s ad  ors.
