Colourful houses on a grey April day

By the time I'd reached the end of the seafront, a huge grey cloud had crept up
on me and looked like it was going to unleash at any moment. With this in mind,
the row of colourful houses facing the sea provided a much-needed dash of
colour to an otherwise miserable day.

I don't know if the owners of the houses coordinated such vivid designs, but they
certainly stood out. As a Norwich City fan, the yellow ones were my favourite.
From there, I used an alleyway to cut through to the High Street where my worst
fears were realised.
