Like all coastal towns in Suffolk, fishing has formed a key part of Aldeburgh's
economy for centuries. Walking along the seafront, it was good to see the town's
maritime heritage alive and kicking.
There are only a handful of fresh fish stalls adjacent to the beach, but even on a
cold Thursday in April I could gauge their popularity amongst locals and visitors.
'Anything fresher is still swimming' read the sign on one wooden hut.
