some space and at the same time, he could paint and prepare the
condo for new renters. He went into denial about Giselle leaving his
drunk ass. Why in the hell would he paint when the arrangements to
move had already been made?
Since Giselle denied him the opportunity to paint the condo or
to switch the move from her, indefinitely, to him, temporarily, the fool
started painting the house. He kept asking G for approval of the paint
job at the house. I know Giselle didn't give a damn about whether he
paints that house or not!
As the move date got closer, Leroy called Giselle at work and
wanted to know whether she had made sure the movers were bonded,
because she should know that movers do steal. He was in his paranoid
state of people stealing from him. There he was trying to control
Giselle and her choice of movers.
I had given Giselle eight bins for moving, and when she came
home from work one day, Leroy had lined all the bins in order by size
with the tops placed beside them. He just had to have his hand in her
move. I did not truly realize how controlling Leroy was until the move.
He had placed a small picture in one of the boxes. Giselle said she had
been looking for the picture she had placed in the bin and could not
find it. She asked Leroy whether he had seen the picture, he told her
he had found a better place to pack it. Giselle said she just wanted to
scream, "Leave my stuff alone." She had not started writing the list of
items quick enough for him, and Leroy started his list of things he
