dealing with CRAZY. She had been diagnosed as bi-polar, an illness I
was very familiar with having grown up with my crazy cousin who was
also bi-polar.
Kenneth, Tyrone, Tonya, Tonya’s attorney, and I were present
for Tonya’s deposition. Tonya’s attorney, Thomas, was a short, wiry
little white man, who seemed to have the same short man’s complex
as crazy Jerome. By the time Tonya’s deposition came around, life had
definitely changed for her. We had already peeped out her crazy.
Immediately after Tonya was laid off, she went to work for a
gentleman's club. A couple of months earlier, my staff was providing
conference service for a client at the Hyatt Regency. At the end of the
day, two of the male staff members went to a gentleman's club located
across the street from the Hyatt. When they returned, they claimed
they had seen Tonya working there, supposedly as a waitress. The next
day, Crazy Tonya went to the Hyatt to confront the two male staff
members. Crazy Tonya wanted to make sure they did not report her
new employment to me because we were still paying her
unemployment benefits.
At the deposition, Kenneth began questioning Tonya about her
medical history and employment at the gentleman's club. She acted as
the victim again and throughout the entire deposition. Her attorney
was very antagonistic. He and Kenneth reached a point where
Kenneth wanted to end the deposition and put Tonya's attorney out
of his office because of his volatile temper. Tonya continued with her
