That’s Crazy
I just did not like her nor trust her because I caught her in too
many lies. I knew how to get under her skin and how to make her
crazy show through in her eyes. You can always identify crazy in the
eyes. It is true; the eyes are the key to the soul. Anybody that blinks
really fast or hardly blinks at all...CRAZY! She would begin to blink
really fast when she was plotting.
As she continued to plot and manipulate everyone, she would
always seem to come out on top, even though I tried my best to show
and tell everyone how crazily she behaved, but in the end, she would
always win; although, she did provide me with excellent training on
how to protect myself. After being on that job for three years and
always receiving high reviews, six months after her arrival, I was being
written up for poor performance. What I learned was to never give
them the ammunition to shoot me. I would get written up by her on
some B.S. and I would respond in writing to the memo and would call
a meeting. By the time we had the meeting, they had gone through my
memo line by line with highlights and began discrediting everything
that was stated. So the next time I was written up, I responded in
writing but I did not give them the memo until we sat down face to
face in the meeting.
As young as I was, by instinct I knew they were starting a paper
trail on me. I knew I had to also keep a paper trail on them. I knew
from fighting the white folks in the South that white folks fight with
words. I was just too young to understand how to fight white
