More Than a Picture: Using Visuals to Spark Inquiry
in Mathematics
They say that a picture is worth a thousand words. Join me as we explore what
happens when you begin to incorporate a variety of visuals from infographics to
photographs to short video clips into the math classroom. In this session
participants will engage in inquiry with math through the use of visuals, hear what
students are saying and doing with regards to inquiry in math using visuals, and
walk away with ideas for implementing the use of visuals in the classroom.
