Friday 11:00-12:00 Session: S76 3rd - 12th Level Richland B Room
Turn Learning Loss into Learning Recovery!
The current math educational model of "cram and flush" didn’t work before the pandemic
and now the issue is even worse. This fall, math teachers at every level will face an
intensified version of the same old dilemma: how can students learn grade-level content if
they don’t have mastery of concepts from prior grades? This session will explore strategies
for addressing initial weaknesses and gaps, with an emphasis on the power of targeting
grade-level material while weaving in supporting concepts along the way. We will also
discuss Get More Math’s software for ensuring students retain their hard-won gains on both
precursor skills and grade-level content while giving data-driven insight to teachers in real-
time. New School's or Districts will get 1-Year Free Pilot of GMM with Admin approval.
