“The M&E contracting industry is intensely competitive, but I am very confident and
relaxed about my future prospects, and those of Comserve. The reason I feel this
way is that we do things differently here. From the inside, the Comserve culture is
totally aligned to meeting our clients’ needs in a fast, professional and intuitive way.
We like nothing better than going to a client to report a problem that arose, how we
fixed it, and what’s been done to prevent recurrence, preferably all before the client
was even aware of it! My other favourite thing is challenging long standing issues or
processes. The phrase “it’s always been like that” or “that’s never worked properly” is
like a personal challenge to a Comserve Engineer. We don’t win them all, but it’s not
through a lack of trying!

We’re in the M&E contracting business, but equally importantly, I like to think we’re
in the “Renaissance Business”. We don’t just maintain and repair – we innovate,
challenge, question, improve, debate, create, think and strive. When you think about it,
is there any other way of doing it properly?
