The South Suburban Chicago Chapter (SSCC)
After a phenomenal Area III conference, where our Teens placed or won every category we entered, they continue to shine! They
joined the Mothers and Deaconess of Grace Missionary Baptist Church and served during their annual Women's Program for
UNCF Sunday. We concluded our Bullying Initiative by creating vision boards demonstrating what we learned and reached and
surpassed our goal for St. Jude! SSCC Teen President Jamal Clay was chosen for the Vivian Coe TTA Leadership Academy, Vice
President Jeremiah Pondexter was chosen and is preparing for a service excursion to Haiti and our Seniors are gearing up,
concluding their high school years as they simultaneously prepare for the next chapter in their lives!
Our Top Teen highlight is Teen Kennedy Arnold:
Teen Kennedy has been an active member of the SSCC of Top Teens of America for three years. She was crowned Miss Top
Teen 2018 at the recent Area III Conference. During her tenure as a Top Teen, Kennedy consistently demonstrated her
compassionate nature as she implemented the tenets of Top Ladies of Distinction. She continually supports and participates in
our efforts, including March of Dimes, Breast Cancer, UNCF, and St. Jude.
