One of my friends recently told me that her son had left
his job because he couldn’t stand the discomfort any
longer.
He was observing some behaviours from his manager
towards other members of his team that could only be
described as bullying, being in this environment on a
daily basis really compromised his values and beliefs,
however he was so worried about the consequences if
he spoke up that he chose to leave instead of having the
conversation.
Ironically he was worried about losing his job if he had
the conversation yet he ended up leaving so he didn’t
have to have it!
And I totally understand that it would not have been
easy and would have taken some courage.
