Payment to Contractual Workers during
Lockdown Period
Full payment to contract labours ensured through
contractors during the lockdown. In fact Rs. 50 per
day also reimbursed for personnel hygiene like
masks, sanitisers, etc.
Social Support to needy by providing food &
shelter and Medical support to address health
crisis
Plants/Units of SAIL have undertaken initiatives
to help migrant labours, poor/needy people
in peripheral areas directly as well as through
voluntary sector.
Report on activities undertaken at Plants/Units
in collaboration with voluntary sector to contain
COVID-19 pandemic and provide help to
lockdown affected persons/families
The crisis and challenge posed by the COVID-19
pandemic is unprecedented both in scale and
impact. Although the Government and Corporates
have mobilized all resources at their disposal to
respond to the crisis, employees of SAIL are also
coming forward in their individual capacity to help
society to tide over this calamity.
